Facebook - Face it!

I struggled with myself and came to the conclusion, that since Facebook it is really easy to end a relationship. You make a few clicks and suddenly in your mini-feed appears the message for all to see: XY is no longer listed as in a relationship. And I did it! But behold! I did not do it to end my relationship with my boy-friend, I did it to gain more distance from my relationship with Facebook. After reading an eye opening article on The Guardian home page. After reading it, I deleted all of my data and all applications. I know that on any server thousands of kilometers away there might be all my data still available. But it was the only thing I could do in the meantime.

Today I deleted my Visual Bookshelf. I had a few things saved on there and needed to copy them. Then I saw the picture on the left. According to Facebook I just broke up with someone so of course they would throw ads at me, which mach that criteria. I also saw an ad about a girls get away. That might be fun!
Something funny happened yesterday. I received an email from Ferrero (you know, Ferrero Rocher, the Kinder stuff etc.), that I won a trip to America with two of my friends! Awesome! I have no idea when, how or if it will happen. I have to phone them on Monday! I cannot wait to do that. I will be wide awake at 8 am I guess, trying to get someone on the phone (Ah! It is 9 am in Austria then! Perfect!). I already forgot, that I took part in that sweepstake (seems to be the proper English word ...) and the letter via mail did not get to me.
On Monday I borrowed three books from the library. I had 20 minutes to kill in the city (I had to wait for the pharmacist to take care of me prescription. Strange system they have in the UK!) and went to the library. If I had more time I would have probably ended up with 10.
D and S visited us over New Year and it was great fun and joy! Thank you again for stopping by! We went to Oxford, Camden Market, Tate Modern Area, saw Big Ben and the other stuff (Squares etc.). I was too lazy to sort my pictures, let alone to post-process them. I am trying to read as much as I can, because there is so much I want to read! So little time, so many books! On Wednesday I bought Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone for 50p. It is thinner than expected. I will try to fit it in somewhere between my other three books.

I like to be in America!
O.K. by me in America!
Ev'rything free in America
For a small fee in America!
